About

My name is Paul.

I’ve been overwhelmed.

I’ve questioned my worth.

I’ve fought through cancer.

Cancer changed me. Not just physically—but emotionally, mentally, and professionally. It stripped away the illusion of control and forced me to confront everything I thought I had to carry alone. I know what it’s like to wake up uncertain about your future and still have to lead, to show up for others, and to keep going. But I also know what it takes to get through it—and to come out the other side with more clarity, more strength, and more purpose than before. If you’re facing a personal battle, you don’t have to do it alone. I’ve been there—and I’m here to help.

I’ve led teams through chaos and uncertainty.

I’ve succeeded—and I’ve stumbled.

I’ve also been a product leader, an advisor, and a coach to high-performing executives for over 30 years. I’ve helped launch startups, navigated corporate politics, advised CEOs, and held roles where the stakes were high and the spotlight was constant.

I’ve felt what it’s like to carry the weight of responsibility while silently wondering if I was doing enough. I’ve worked with leaders who were crushing their goals on the outside but quietly burning out inside.

I’ve coached people through job loss, reinvention, health scares, and personal transformation.

And yes—underneath it all, I’m still the former NCAA athlete who learned how to push through limits. But I’ve also learned when to stop pushing and start listening.

I believe the best leaders aren’t the ones with all the answers. They’re the ones willing to ask better questions, to be honest with themselves, and to do the inner work—not just the outer performance.

Oh—and I’m someone who genuinely loves a quiet morning coffee, a walk with no agenda, and the space to breathe before diving back into the work of helping others grow.

If you’re a leader ready for more clarity, more purpose, and more honest momentum—you’re in the right place.

Peak performance is rarely about working harder—it’s about thinking differently.

Peak performance is rarely about working harder—it’s about thinking differently.

I’m Paul Chae, founder of Chae Advisory and a leadership coach to high-performing executives navigating growth, transition, and change. My work is rooted in a simple belief: with the right partnership, anyone can unlock a more powerful, grounded, and intentional version of themselves.

Before coaching, I spent over 30 years leading and advising teams in technology, product, and consulting roles—from early-stage ventures to large-scale enterprises. With an engineering degree from Duke and an MBA from Kellogg, I’ve built my career around solving complex problems and guiding senior leaders to make bold, clear decisions in high-stakes environments.

But that’s only part of the story.

I’m also a former NCAA wrestler and a cancer survivor—experiences that taught me about discipline, perspective, and what it truly means to lead with resilience. I don’t coach from a playbook. I coach from life.
